Helium Gas

We all know about Helium Balloons but not may of us know where we can buy Helium Gas from, well now you do!

Helium is an odourless, tasteless gas with the Atomic number 2 and Atomic symbol He.

It is an extremely light gaseous element which is the least reactive of all elements. It is known as an inert or noble gas which is lighter than air, hence helium balloons float above the air.

Uses of  Helium include inflation of airships and balloons and as a cooling agent for nuclear reactors.

The tone of human voice can change in Helium rich atmosphere. We may have experienced this at the end of a party when the adults deflate the balloons and suck in the Helium from them and talk like Donald Duck.

The advantage of using a disposable helium balloon gas cylinder is that you can inflate balloons in a few seconds and that they will stay inflated for the rest of the day, this is particularly important for weddings, it is no use if the balloons begin to deflate before the party has begun.
